In the interview, the host also asked if I am saying that one should never take sleep medications?
My answer is No.
If your sleep problems continue despite the above measures, you may have a sleep disorder that needs to be treated.
If you have sleep apnea, you may need a CPAP machine.
And if you have other sleep disorders, you may need psychotherapy. CBT-I is a particular kind of mind training that can improve insomnia
If you have depression or other disorders related to sleep, you may need medications.
But for most people, following the sleep techniques discussed in this program can help to improve sleep.
So take these steps first. If you need additional treatment, get that but continue trying these tools.

It will increase your awareness of your patterns.
Then take the sleep diary to your doctor’s appointment, so a proper diagnosis and treatment can be decided.
