If you believe that the way you are is the way you will always be, then your ability to improve becomes stagnant. But if you believe that you can get better, you will. Your mindset dictates your reality.
One of the most important steps in making an improvement in your life is changing your mindset and beliefs. And that fundamental shift in your belief system is called the shift from a ‘fixed mindset’ to a ‘growth mindset’.
The process of reaching your goals can get overwhelming when you only focus on the ‘end goal’. But if you break down this end goal into mini-goals or what call ‘process goals’, then it becomes easier and more achievable.
If you think that you cannot do anything about something in your life, revisit, think… is it because you have been stuck in your fixed mindset? If so, shift it to a growth mindset and tell yourself “Yes, I cannot change the past, but I can take steps to get better.” then make process goals so that you can take those small steps towards your ultimate end goal.
