Anger Management Tips
1. If you are already in an argument, take a break and get a glass of water. This will not only cool your body down but taking a break will also allow your mind to breathe and think rationally.
2. Calm down and sit down.
Standing up puts you in a confrontation mode while sitting down allows your body and brain to relax so you can better respond to the situation.
3. Do the cooling breath exercise.
There’s a breathing technique called straw breathing where you curl your tongue a little bit and imagine a straw and suck from this straw. You will feel a cold sensation in your mouth and your body temperature decreases.
