So let me share some of my favorite lines from this interview:

If we are able to return to the moment in front of us, if we are able to stop thinking about, you know, what looms on our calendars or whatever, then it is possible, if not probable, that we can mitigate some of our anxiety.”

– Brian

The more that we can stay present before that moment arrives, whether it’s, you know, let’s say that social outing, the more we’re going to keep ourselves in a calm state, which is going to then once we get to that party, it’s going to be harder for our bodies to sort of rev up out of control and, you know, bring us that that anxiousness.
– Brian

When people are having panic attacks, the biggest problem with the panic attack is not the panic attack itself, but it’s the fear of panic attack. And once people learn this phrase that it is going to pass, then they are able to handle it much better.
