The word mindfulness is thrown around in pop media a lot. Many times, it becomes a word that means different things to different people.

Some think it is just meditation where you sit with eyes closed and disconnect from outside stimulation.

Others think it is noticing everything you observe the present moment especially nature.
Yes, it is both meditation and present mindedness. But many people forget one other crucial component of mindfulness, without which practicing mindfulness can sometimes lead to frustration instead of peace and joy.
