1280 720 Dr Rozina Lakhani

Do you wonder how food affects your mood?

There is so much conflicting information about food in the media that sometimes it is hard to sort the right information.

Recently, I interviewed Dr. Uma Naidoo on “Happy and Healthy Mind with Dr. Rozina.” She shared some scientifically, reliable information that may help you.

Dr. Uma is a Harvard trained psychiatrist, Professional Chef, and a Nutrition Specialist. Her book “This Is Your Brain on Food” is getting released next month. She is a medical pioneer in Nutritional Psychiatry, the Director of Nutritional and Lifestyle Psychiatry at Massachusetts General Hospital, and a faculty member at Harvard Medical School.

We discussed the gut-brain connection and a few practical steps to help you make sense of all the conflicting information. So you could decide what to eat on a day-to-day basis for a happy mood.

In this video, you will learn:

  • What is the Gut-Brain (Food and Mood ) connection?
  • How can we use food to improve our mood?
  • Why do we need to eat fruits and vegetables of different colors?
  • How Turmeric with a pinch of black pepper helps?
  • How to practice mindful eating?

I hope you got a lot of ideas to make better food choices for your health and happiness, both physically and mentally.
