Harnessing Hope-Bouncing Back-Contentment; An AIS Publication- Spring 2021 Issue

Can you believe that it’s been a year since the lockdown started? Seems like it was just yesterday!

What a year it has been! Tough, challenging, and lesson-filled. And for us in the Happy Healthy Mind community, this is also a special week because it’s our anniversary week!

I am looking forward to celebrating with  you tomorrow; Saturday, March 13th, 2021 at 11 am PT.  During the live broadcast of ‘Happy and Healthy Mind with Dr. Rozina’ episode 50, you will hear messages of Thriving Thru COVID from some of our past guests and from some of our viewers.

As we look back on a challenging year where prolonged uncertainty has made contentment feel even more beyond reach, we realize how strongly we held on and thrived amidst the challenges.

And if there is one important thing we have learned from this pandemic, it’s that we need HOPE — a feeling of trust that things can get better, because it will.

In line with the theme of our Anniversary; “Thriving Thru COVID Year”, today I want to share my article ‘Bouncing Back: From Stress To Joy – Learning Resilience Through Changing Times,’

which was published in this issue of Contentment, a quarterly magazine of the American Institute of Stress (AIS).

AIS is the authority in the field of stress- founded on recommendations of Hans Selye, who developed the theory of the Stress Syndrome (General Adaptation Syndrome). Today the institute is dedicated to bringing practical information to all on topics related to stress. Contentment is AIS quarterly publication. As an AIS fellow I also write articles for this publication.
